Aquarium (
The main drawback of this archetype is algae, which can be a real problem in an aquarium. Algae can form a layer on the surface of your water, blocking gasses from leaving the tank. This can cause a lack of oxygen, which can be solved with an air pump or by doing frequent water changes. However, algae will usually reappear after a while if you don’t address the problem of low oxygen levels.
The best way to deal with this is to use a UV sterilizer. This will kill all of the bacteria circulating in the water and clear the water very quickly. You can get these at most pet stores or online. They’re cheap and easy to install. Alternatively, you can try using Siamese algae eaters or amano shrimp to help clear the aquarium of algae. These are more effective than just doing regular water changes, which can only do so much for the algae and will eventually reappear.
